Vogue director to pen memoirsThe famed creative director of Vogue, Grace Coddington, has revealed she is writing her memoirs - just weeks after rumours broke about Anna Wintour doing the same thing.
The women's designer clothing expert is to write the book with fellow fashion specialist, Michael Roberts, the style editor of Vanity Fair. According to CBS News, Coddington will release her memoirs in both the UK and the USA. Chatto and Windus will publish the British version; whilst Random House will publish in America. This is sure to please the myriad fans Coddington has throughout the world, who have followed her career from the beginning.
The Independent also revealed: "The memoir is eagerly awaited partially because of the expected revelations on Coddington's boss, the magazine's notorious editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, but also due to the 'September Issue' documentary that had many viewers fall head over heels for the grumpy yet charming flame-haired stylist."
Coddington has had a long history in the fashion world, working as a successful model in her early 20s. She later was involved in a car accident that saw her lose an eyelid, effectively ending her modelling career. Coddington them began working for British Vogue and Calvin Klein, before setting at American Vogue.
The title and release date of the memoir is as yet unknown.
