The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has been voted Britain's number one best dressed woman by 'Harper Bazaar'.
In a poll by the highly-influential fashion magazine, Kate beat rival fashionistas Alexa Chung and supermodel Kate Moss; both of whom are renowned for their exquisite taste in women's designer clothing.
"Catherine's incredible style evolution has gripped us all," said Harper's Bazaar UK editor, Lucy Yeomans, according to NYPost.com. "She gave us the year's - if not the century's - most thrilling fashion moment at the royal wedding and is shaping up as an amazing ambassador for British designers and the high street."
Taking second place was Florence and the Machine singer Florence Welsh, of whom the magazine described as "magical" and "powerful".
Others in the top ten included actress Tilda Swinton, Keira Knightly, designer Phoebe Philo and Colin Firth's wife, Livia Firth.The Belfast Telegraph additionally reveals that Kate's recognition in the fashion world is likely to continue. According to the publication, the Duchess is also in the running for the British Style Award at the BFC's annual British Fashion Awards. Its winner will be decided by members of the public.
The Duchess has also been approached by 'Vogue' magazine several times, but the 29-year-old has repeatedly refused the offer.
